1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
The fight of the believer is not against Satan and his cohorts. Jesus has defeated the devil.
Col 2:15 Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his! (TPT)
The fight of the believer is not against the flesh.
Gal 5:24 Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus, the Anointed One, have already experienced crucifixion. For everything connected with ourselves – life was put to death on the cross and crucified with the Messiah. (TPT)
Our fight is not against the world and its systems.
1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
The victory that overcomes is faith.
The fight of the believer is the fight of faith.
Yes, there is an enemy, yes, we have weapons of warfare, but we must know the type of fight we have been called into. The fight is that of standing on and insisting on the victory that has been wrought in Christ.
To use military terms, we are an occupational army, we are not first responders in the fight. In the military nations send their forces to defeat maybe another nation using their front-line forces and after the defeat what is known as occupational force will come in to take over the spoils of war. This occupational force does not fight, (the fight is over), of course, the enemies still exist but they are defeated. The task of the occupational force will be to take over all the military and economic infrastructure and bring the enemy to subjection. We are an occupational force. We are the ones called to take over and enjoy the spoils of victory.
The MO of the occupational force is completely different from that of a frontline army.
The occupational force takes advantage of the victory, they make it good. What we do is to make good that victory of Jesus by enjoying the spoils. We do this by believing the finished works of Jesus which is picking up that good fight good fight and laying hold on the life of God.
We are the ones who make the victory of Jesus “good”
Sir/ma, make it good by living a prosperous life.
Make the victory of Jesus good by insisting on divine health.
Make it good by living a victorious life over sin.
Make it good by living the blessed life.
PICK YOUR FIGHT AND MAKE IT GOOD!
