Eph 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

 

The New Testament believer is the zenith of God’s creation. It is God’s signature product.

Great artist are venerated for their work but known for their masterpieces or signature product. Michelangelo’s masterpiece was The Sistine Chapel Ceiling, while The  Mona Lisa is considered the greatest work of Leonardo da Vinci.

You are God’s final and greatest design.

The example of artistic work begins to scratch the surface of what God did in us through redemption. God birthed Himself in us much more than just what an artist will do. To improve upon you will be to improve on God. You are the pinnacle of God’s ability to reproduce.

You cannot be improved upon!

This is an operation that God has done already.

Col 2:12  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

 

Someone may say, right now does not look like it’s working, I need some extra, I need some improvement. Depending on the context, understand that you are complete in Christ. (Col 2:10). All that is needed is for you to realize how this newly engineered product functions.

A quick example is maybe you get a new electronic gadget, say a drone. You try to fly it and it just would not fly. You now decide to call the manufacturers to do something about their product. This product is not working, I have tried everything I know. Then you call them up and they ask some questions. Sir, did you read the manual that came with it? When you read the manual you will realize that it needs to be charged before it can function. Did you charge it? By the way, it works with the internet, did you connect it?

Ah! The complainer says! I see!

This masterpiece New Testament creation came with a manual called the gospel found in the Bible. It also needs powering in the place of prayer and it needs constant downloads from God and other believers. If you disconnect it from God and the fellowship or internet of believers it won’t work as advertised.
