As much as we need God, God also needs you. God cannot fulfill his purpose on earth without human vessels. These vessels for best performance must be purged or holy.
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.
2Ti 2:21 If a man, therefore, purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
For God to have these vessels of honor, he by himself made provision for its possibility. He made us a new creation, we have the blood of Jesus, and we have the forgiveness of sins. We have access to the Father. Paul in Romans called it a reasonable service. I call it the reasonable deal.
Rom 12:1 Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifice. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
Rom 12:2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
DECLARE:
By the mercies of God, I am that vessel of honor and I am fit for every kingdom purpose.
God has shown me mercy and I respond to his love.
